Chinese or English?
Any language is useful for its speakers and users. However, if a language speaker and user happens to be able to use two or more languages, one language is usually less useful than the otheror others, or one language is usually more useful than the other or others, depending on how we look at it.
Let us look at Chinese and English, for excample. Chinese is useful and used for events, things, and people in and for and about China, or Taiwan, but useless and unused for events, things, and people in and for and about other countries. If you need to study physics, or chemistry, or mathematics, for example, and please keep in mind that those subjects or fields were translated into Chinese about 100 or 200 years ago, it seems reasonsable that you study those subjects or fields in Enbglish, instead of Chinese.
Why?
Let us say Einstein writes in German, and he actually does. There was once a translator or a group of translators who translated Einstein's German into Chinese. Do you think that translator or those translators really understood Einstein? I do not think so. If the translator could not understand Einstein fully and actually translated Einstein into Chinese, do you think those who read the Chinese will understand more what Einstein wrote in German? I do not think so. In this case, German is useful, and Chinese is useless.
Therefore, in the study of any fields that were translated, or "borrowed", from other languages, that were not created in Chinese by the Chinese, it would be much better to study those fields in English, instead of Chinese.
DONE.
